About Balule Lodge

Balule Bushveld Safari Lodge is situated in the Greater Kruger National Park, near Phalaborwa. Please note that there is no fencing between the reserve and the Kruger National Park. The area is a hub of wildlife tourism and an ideal base to explore the Kruger and the myriad of natural, historical, and cultural attractions nearby.

The accommodation comprises 6 separate thatched-roofed units, each sleeping 2 guests, that are ideal for a family or group of friends seeking a bushveld retreat. There are 2 units furnished with a king-size bed and 4 units which contain twin single beds. Each unit has an en-suite bathroom with a shower and features additional comforts such as air-conditioning, ceiling fans, fridges and built-in cupboards. 4 of the units can be converted into 2 family units, each consisting of 2 bedrooms with interleading doors, and is available by prior arrangement.

The free-standing living area, which includes the kitchen, is located separately from the cottages. The spacious kitchen is fully equipped to cater to guests’ needs and includes 2 fridges, a chest freezer, 2 gas stoves, double ovens, a toaster, kettle and dishwasher while living area features a TV with DStv, a braai area and 2 dining tables. The lounge opens onto a lovely deck which has a boma and overlooks the reserve.

Guests can cool down in the splash pool or enjoy activities such as game drives, game viewing, birdwatching on the farm while day trips to Kruger National Park can also be experienced.

*A Free Game drive with a qualified field guide is included with each day booked*
Selfdrive game drives are not permitted,although there are two waterholes where all animals come to drink through the day and night and can be safely viewed from the deck.
